Abdullah Elias is a service provider from the ancient town of Akre. He was one of the earliest supporters of the project, helping with logistics and permissions and advice in his role as a hiker and as a member of the local Peshmerga.

Akre is the home of Newroz, the annual celebration in Kurdistan of the New Year, and among other things, Abdullah likes to share with visitors the history of the festival, and the best places to watch it every March.
